African swine fever diagnostic tests

JCMED supply this African Swine Fever Virus ASF rapid test is used to detect African swine fever virus in the blood of suspected sick pigs and dead pigs.

African swine fever virus (ASFV) causes a hemorrhagic disease in pigs with high socio-economic consequences. To lower the impact of disease incursions, early detection is crucial.

African swine fever is a highly contagious and deadly viral disease affecting both domestic and feral swine of all ages. ASF is not a threat to human health and cannot be transmitted from pigs to humans. It is not a food safety issue.

ASF is found in countries around the world.Anyone who works with pigs should be familiar with the signs of ASF:

High fever
Decreased appetite and weakness
Red, blotchy skin or skin lesions
Diarrhea and vomiting
Coughing and difficulty breathing

On-farm biosecurity is crucial to preventing any animal disease from developing and spreading. All pig owners and anyone involved with pig operations should know and follow strict biosecurity practices to help protect U.S. pigs from ASF.

TESTVERFAHREN von JCMED:

1) Lassen Sie alle Kit-Komponenten und die Probe vor dem Test Raumtemperatur erreichen.
2) Hinzufügen 1 Tropfen Vollblut, Geben Sie Serum oder Plasma in die Probenvertiefung und warten Sie 30–60 Sekunden.
3) Geben Sie 3 Tropfen Puffer in die Probenvertiefung.
4) Lesen Sie die Ergebnisse darin 8-10 Protokoll. Nicht danach lesen 20 Protokoll.

INTERPRETATION OF THE RESULTS

-Positive (+): The presence of both “C” line and zone “T” line, no matter T line is clear or vague.
-Negativ (-): Only clear C line appear. No T line.
-Invalid: No colored line appears in C zone. No matter if T line appears.
